Week 1 – Roles & PM

The green light has been given for the CoderDojo Documentary and we are now in the process of sitting down as a group to decide what person(s) are more suitable to the many tasks that this project will entail.

This weeks schedule included the following:

Weekly Meeting (College Campus):

The purpose of this meeting is to lay down the core tasks of the project and to find what person is more suitable to each task.   All group members will have an input to each and every task, however it is practicable to identify strengths and weaknesses within the team at this early stage.

We have also agreed to select a Project manager for the entire project during this weekly meeting.

Martyn:

  •  Design a website of 3 to 4 pages.
  • Locate Hosting for website.
  • Graphic art work for website and promotional media.
  • Research various parts of the project (identification will follow)
  • Maintain project blog.
  • Assist with editing of documentary
  • Copy-writing for documentary.
  • Sound Recording & Editing.
  • Interviewee Liaison Contact

Guitar:

  •  Design promotional media (posters ect).
  • Graphic art work for website and promotional media.
  • Research various parts of the project (identification will follow)
  • Maintain project blog.
  • Production & Editing of documentary
  • Copy-writing for documentary.
  • Videoography.

Jonathan:

  • Research various parts of the project (identification will follow)
  • Production & Editing of documentary
  • Copy-writing for documentary.
  • Location Identification & Development.
  • Sound Recording & Editing
  • Maintain project blog.
  • Videoography.
  • Photography.

Niall:

  • Research various parts of the project (identification will follow)
  • Production & Editing of documentary
  • Copy-writing for documentary.
  • Location Identification & Development.
  • Sound Recording & Editing
  • Maintain project blog.
  • Photography.
  • Budget Planning.
  • Interviewee Liaison Contact

Project Manager:

The project manager was agreed by the group voting for the the person that best suited the role of PM.   Niall O’Sullivan was voted in as Manager by the other three managers as this reflected his project skill in large construction projects in past years.
